Current Vacancies in Leicester
Palliative Carers
Advantage Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced palliative care workers for work within the community. You will be responsible for delivering care to terminally ill adults in Leicester and surrounding areas. The ability to get to shifts in an individual’s home is essential and previous experience with terminally ill patients is an advantage.
To be successful you will need to be self motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.
Duties will include:
- Adhering to all aspects of individually tailored care plans
- Documenting actions taken
- Ensuring clients are kept comfortable and supported in their home environment
These rewarding roles offer flexible shifts in order to fit around your commitments, but consistency of availability is required in order to provide continuity of care for the patient.
Registered Nurses
Advantage Healthcare is currently seeking registered nurses for work within the community on a full time basis working Monday to Sunday, 8:30am – 5pm.
You will also be required to provide community nursing which will include insulin administration, taking bloods, applying and changing dressings and managing wound care. All these duties will need to be completed under the guidance and direction of the district nurses and health centre manager.
To be successful you will need to have experience working with this type of setting and be able to provide clinical references covering both skills and experience.
Care Assistants
Advantage Healthcare is looking for experienced and flexible care assistants to work in a residential home local to the Leicester area.
As part of this role you will be required to assist with aspects of personal care, continence care and provide feeding support. Support and guidance from the homes manager will be available.
Children's Support Worker
Advantage Healthcare have an exciting project working with a special little girl, who is bright, intelligent and fun
to be around. She has started life with quite a few challenges such as physical disabilities. She is a full time wheelchair user and needs help with all her personal care. She also has epilepsy which is controlled with medication. Although she cannot communicate verbally she is currently learning Makaton, and can answer questions with smiles and eye pointing.
We are recruiting additional support workers for our team to help to maintain the excellent standard of care we offer.
We are looking for people with a background in either child care or early years. We are looking for vibrant, enthusiastic, independent and professional people to join an established team, who strive for excellence. We can offer any additional training required, such as enteral feeding, medication and epilepsy awareness to the right candidate.
As a support worker you will be assisting with her daily routine, including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, medication, personal care, completing activities in line with early learning goals and helping her with social activities.

Operating Hours
We operate a 24hr service, seven days a week from the branch with office opening hours between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.
