Advantage Healthcare recently joined up with the Recruitment Subsidy Scheme provided by the Jobcentreplus. This scheme is designed to encourage employers to help people who have been unemployed for more than 6 months move back into work; the subsidy consists of a£1,000 payment,£500 when the candidate starts work and £500, 26 weeks later when it has been confirmed that the worker has completed an average of 16 hours per week).
This is fantastic news for Advantage as it will not only help them recruit a group of candidates who are willingly looking for work but it will also help with the recruitment and training costs.
The Cambridge branch of Advantage have already benefitted from this scheme and have been able to employ a fantastic candidate. They commented;
